Updated photographs are required at least every two years, with the registrant bearing the cost. A missing photograph does not by itself mean an entry is invalid or inactive.

Kentucky Registration Levels and Requirements

Reincarceration pauses the running time. A mailed verification must be returned within 10 days. The official FAQ includes an older reference to “ten-year” registrants, but that legacy wording should not be merged into the current statutory framework.
